The Kariba Tiger Fishing Competition is an annual competition taking place on Lake Kariba in October every year. The tournament has been held each year for over 50 years and takes place over 3 days in Charara on the shores of Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe. Hosted at the National Anglers Union of Zimbabwe premises, the tournament has grown in numbers over the years and now has over 600 contestants competing in it.
Braving extremely high temperatures of 45°C (113°F) and higher, anglers of all ages and experience levels are able to take part in the tournament with the aim to land the biggest fish of over 10 kilograms (22 pounds).
